Polish bass-baritone Michał Karski, a graduate of the Dutch National Opera Academy under the guidance of Hanneke de Wit and a recent member of the Opera Studio at the Opéra National du Rhin.
He performed in the Netherlands as Frank (Die Fledermaus), Achilla (Cleopatra e Cesare), Le Baron (Cendrillon), Puppet Maker (Postcard from Morocco), Guglielmo (Così Fan Tutte), Papageno (Die Zauberflöte) and Colline (La Bohème) at the Theater Carré with Nederlandse Reisoper and in France as Dottore (La Traviata), Mr Bellomy (Fantasticks), Third Robber (Les Trois Brigands), Third Judge (Das Wunder der Heliane), First Man (Sweeney Todd) for the Opéra National du Rhin and Zuniga (Carmen) at the Strasbourg Philharmonique. In the 2025/26 season Karski made his debut at Amsterdam's Concertgebouw in Le nozze di Figaro as Bartolo with the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century.
Other highlights of his career include concerts with the Residentie Orkest (a Mozart Gala conducted by Felix Bender), Haydn's Nelson Mass and Mozart's Great Mass in Grote Kerk Alkmaar, as well as Franz von Suppé's Requiem for the International Vocal Competition in 's-Hertogenbosch. He also took part in the concert performances of L'Elisir d'Amore (Dulcamara) and Don Giovanni (Leporello) conducted by Gary Matthewman at the St. Paul's Cathedral in London. In July 2026, he will return to the role of Don Alfonso in Così fan tutte at the Longhope Opera Festival in England.
Season 26/27 will see Karski make his German debut at the Musikfest Bremen with the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century in L'Isola disabitata as Enrico.
